COVID Rapid Antigen Travel Testing Update

COVID Travel Update

Starting February 28, rapid antigen testing is accepted for re-entry into Canada. This exciting new update replaces the previously required negative PCR test for travelers coming back home to Canada. The rapid antigen test must be taken outside of Canada no more than one day before your travel date. It is important to note that the one-day restriction is not strictly a 24-hour expectancy- if you have a flight on Friday, you can get tested any time on Thursday and still be within the accepted window.

You can now take a trip to the US without the worry of having to take a PCR test when coming back home!

What if I had COVID?

If you have previously had COVID, you are welcome to use a positive molecular test taken at least 10 days and no more than 180 days prior to your entry into Canada. If you have recently taken a PCR test with us and tested positive, you can reach out to us regarding a proof of recovery letter. We provide the letter given that you have completed your isolation requirements and are no longer displaying any symptoms. The cost of the recovery letter is $100 + GST.

Please contact us for more information or book an antigen test with us today. You can visit our locations page to find the nearest COVID-19 testing site to you. Contact your airline for further information on restrictions or proceed to do your own research.

Fast-Test provides 12 or 24-hour turnaround RT-PCR NAAT testing at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Victoria, and several London Drugs locations. Antigen testing is also available and resulted in approximately 20 minutes. Please contact us for Corporate or Film bookings. Please note that we only do testing on asymptomatic individuals. Email us for general inquiries or to request a Proof of Recovery document. As a disclaimer, we are not able to advise you on what test you must take and when.
